Scotland
The Scottish Government is unique in having led a very progressive programme to advance the position of women in agriculture in Scotland. This includes a substantial financial commitment per annum in the programme for government to advance equality measures, such as training for women innovators, gender bias training for farming organisations and industry, and childcare initiatives. This living lab will explore how effectively these measures have reached the remote region of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. The role of digital inclusion, availability of training, and skills will be core to our activities. The lab will work with women innovators in crofting/ small scale agriculture and rural women experiencing innovation challenges in remote islands with limited employment opportunities
